Today was a little less hectic, and involved teaching some basic patchwork techniques and lots of play with a darling 9 month old :)
Teaching patchwork was pretty easy today, as she already had the skills necessary - she just didn't know she did! She said she feels very inspired now, though, which is always a wonderful thing to give to somebody! :)
Tomorrow is going to be not so creative, hospital appointments and Bollywood night (YES. I love Bollywood night) but I have a plan for a lovely 1st birthday present for my gorgeous nephew Dexter, who's birthday is this week - watch this space!

Blog-tober 5th - Pride!
So (today) was Pride, finally! My stall looked great and I had a lot of really good feedback and that always make me happy! Here's a photo of me at my stall, apologies for the bad photo, the lighting was behind me.
The Unicorn Love picture sold, I hope that it's new owner loves it as much as I do :)
Time for some much needed rest now, tomorrow is going to be spent teaching my girlfriend's cousin's wife (congratulations if you follow :P) to sew patchwork :)

Blog-tober third - an abundance of colour.
Just a quick one as I'm very much ready for a long sleep! My CFS is seriously catching up on me, and I'm in for a heavy weekend. I'm looking forward to it though.
I mentioned yesterday that I was working on another doodle picture to complete a set, and I just finished and framed the last one! I'm really happy with them and hope that someone falls in love with them too! They'll be on sale for £22 each, or the set for £55. They are A4, framed, watercolour pencil on cartridge paper. They've taken me upwards of 15 hours to complete, but worth it. What do you think?
Tomorrow is going to be spent resting and making price tags, and commandeeringy mama-in-law's fimo oven to shrink some plastic stuff to make into jewellery tomorrow evening, ready for Saturday.

Blog-tober 2nd - quietly productive day.
It's been a shuffly day today. You know those days where you find yourself plodding along and suddenly it's 9pm? But I have completed another doodle drawing and I'm just about to fit in some crochet time.
I started to learn to crochet about a year ago, when my mother-in-law - who, by the way, is a total crochet pro (www.soozintheshed.blogspot.com) -began to teach me, but I've just picked it back up again. I've attached a photo of the something (I'm not sure what the plan is for it at the moment!) I'm doing at the moment. I love the colours I'm using :)
Tomorrow shall be spent finishing my last doodle-picture of the series I'm working on for my Pride stall this weekend :)

Blog-tober 1st - Unicorn love.
Happy October!
I've been working on some drawings over the past couple of days, getting ready for my stall at Cumbria Pride this Saturday :) (1pm onwards, Hilltop Heights, Carlisle :])
This is my favourite one so far - unicorns! :D It just needs framed and priced and it's ready to go :)

Quietly Quilting Q... never mind. Quilting!
I'm holding a three week introduction to quilting course at Hobbycraft, Carlisle, and I needed to make a project sampler for it, so I've sat and done that this afternoon :) The above/attached (depending on how my Blogger app behaves today!) image is what I've stitched up today from scratch, by hand only. I really like the contrast, and the general design, but I feel it needs something else. I plan to add to it as I teach my students how to embellish and finish off their panel in week three :)
What do you think?
I think this type of panel, with the contrasting edging colour, would make a great, bold design for a bed cover :)

Blog-tober!
I have been set a challenge - to blog every day in October, and I do love a challenge :)
So, I henceforth promise that every day in October, you'll be updated with whatever creative (or otherwise!) happenings in my day-to-day life :) There'll be, I hope, a couple of give-aways, and lots of inspiration!
Keep your eyes peeled! But not really, because you'll need them for the blogfest. :)
